Yeah, I was going for something reminiscent of a raven's head w/ the blade coming out as the beak, so I'm glad it gave you that image. Very happy w/ how that came out.
I agree about the blade texture. I had tried a few things over the weekend that didn't really go anywhere, but it's something I'll keep messing with, as it is a bit plain and could definitely use some detail.
I love the top of this weapon. The shape is ridiculous but I like the smaller shapes inside it just as much. I still can't put my finger on it but as we come down the design I think we lose that power. Anyhow kick ass dude!!!!
I love the silhouette of the blade, like a crow or a raven. It's really powerful.
ReplyDeleteMaybe try adding some more story to the blade's texture such as scratches, stains, etc. It'll really give it that extra character.
I want to see a character do a 50+ combo with this, wicked.

I love the texture on the head of the scythe, that stands out to me every time I look at this. The flowing shapes along it catch my eye so readily.
