I definitely want to take another shot at the texturing, especially since I budgeted my texturing time extremely poorly. Modeling ended up being a LOT of fun, more than I thought I'd have considering I haven't modeled like this for over 3 or 4 years. I enjoyed the puzzle of making the design fit the tri budget.
I came very close to doing a sword as well. My favorite part is the blade and how those thorn like pieces come from the skull. Do they connect to the blade? I like the idea of thinking how they might be made by some old, drunken blacksmith...lol
I recall there was concern about the polygon budget in regards to your design. I'm glad it worked out because they add a ton to the shape.
